Apple Pi Runner-up at Bash

14th Annual Bash @ the Beach


The Blue Alliance consisting of Apple Pi Robotics, along with long time partner team 558 (RoboSquad) and team 230 (the Gaelhawks), cruised through the quarter finals and semi finals only to lose in a tough three game match in the finals. A malfunction in the Gaelhawks robot made winning in the finals more difficult as well as the Red Alliance’s spirited defensive play and ball starvation tactics.

In the deciding game of the finals, Apple Pi poured in tele-op baskets as RoboSquad and the Gaelhawks concentrated on getting the balance points. In the end the Red Alliance edged the Blue Alliance 70 – 64 to take the title for the 2012 Bash at the Beach. Congratulations to team 2168 (Aluminum Falcons), team 1124 (UberBots) and team 3461 (Operation Peacce).
