Apple Pi Robotics hosted the Girls in STEM program jointly with Shoreline Girls United and sponsored by the Guilford Public Library on June 28th.
19 young women in 5-8th grades participated in a series of challenges designed to stimulate interest in the sciences and math. Topics included fingerprinting, brush robots, Rube Goldberg, and math origami/brain teasers. Several Apple Pi mentors and students were on hand to guide the students as they wrestled with the tasks.
